Boulevard Presbyterian Church Preschool (BPCP) offers a variety of preschool experiences.
1-Day Playgroup
1-Day program designed to allow two year old children to learn to be separated from parents
- Mondays 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
2-Day Program
For young 3′s (3 between June and December of their enrolled year)
- Monday and Wednesday 9:00 – 11:15 a.m.
3-Day Program
For older 3′s and young 4′s (3 by September 30 of their enrolled year)
- Tues-Wed-Thurs 9:00 – 11:15 a.m.
- Tues-Wed-Thurs 12:30 – 2:45 p.m.
4-Day Program
For older 4′s preparing for kindergarten (4 by September 30 of their enrolled year)

5-Day Program
5-Day kindergarten readiness program designed to allow additional time to develop kindergarten skills (5 by December 31 of their enrolled year)

- Mon-Tues-Wed-Thurs-Fri 12:30 – 2:45 p.m.
Lunch Bunch
Preschoolers bring a lunch and eat with friends.

Full Day Program – FULL FOR 2011-2012
BPCP also offers a full day, year-round program for three to five year olds which is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., designed to meet the needs of working parents who want their child to benefit from a preschool program. The morning hours follow a traditional preschool schedule, while after lunch there is rest time followed by a mixture of free play and organized activities.

Boulevard Preschool emphasizes the development of the total child, including the emotional, social, spiritual, physical, and intellectual growth of each child. A play environment is provided to stimulate the child’s curiosity, awareness of self, and encourage social interaction with other children and adults. We encourage children to be actively involved in the learning process, to experience a variety of developmentally appropriate activities with emphasis on nurturing positive self–image and a positive attitude toward learning. Play is a child’s work. Play provides opportunities for children to discover new things. It is the way they can explore and learn about the world around them.
Programs Offered at Boulevard Preschool
One Day Playgroup
Toddlers learn to be separated from parents in a safe, fun caring environment. The class consists of free play, songs, finger plays, a story, and a take-home project that relates to the weekly theme. To enroll in this program the child must be 2 years old by September 30, 2011.
Two Day for Young Three’s
This class is designed for young three’s whose 3rd birthday falls during the summer months. In our three-year-old program, children are helped with developmental tasks of separating from home and sharing. The program is designed to provide the development of age-appropriate concepts and skills by example, guided exploration and play. To enroll in this program the child must be 3 years old by September 30, 2011. The young three’s come two days a week with the older 3 & 4 year olds.
Three Day Preschool Programs
With your choice of morning or afternoon sessions, this program is designed for older 3′s and young 4′s. Sessions meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The program encourages children to be actively involved in the learning process through play based and planned learning activities. The older 3′s & 4′s come with the younger 3′s on Tuesday and Thursday. On Wednesday’s, the older children have special enrichment programs. To enroll in this program the child must be 3 years old by September 30, 2011.
Four Day Pre-K Preschool Program
This is a pre-kindergarten class, which offers a choice of morning or afternoon sessions. Classes meet Monday through Thursday. The children are introduced to the basic skills of kindergarten readiness while building their self-esteem and focusing on socialization. To enroll in this program the child must be 4 years old by September 30, 2011.
Five Day Kindergarten Readiness Program
This class is designed to allow additional time for kindergarten readiness skills while continuing to build the child’s self-esteem and socialization skills. To enroll in this program the child must be 5 years old by December 31, 2011. The class size is limited due to the special nature of the class.
Full Day Preschool Program
Boulevard also provides a full day, year round program open from 7:30 in the morning until 5:30 in the evening. This program is geared for 3 to 5 year olds. The morning hours follow a traditional preschool schedule. After lunch, there is a rest time followed by a mixture of free play and organized activity.
This program is designed to meet the needs of working parents who want their child(ren) to benefit from a preschool environment. The program focuses on meeting emotional, social, cognitive and physical needs of 3 to 5 year olds. The children work together learning from one another as they experience a variety of developmentally appropriate activities, including kindergarten readiness skills.
Priority for enrollment is given first to full-time participants enrolled year round, secondly to part-time enrolled year round, and lastly part-time enrolled during the school year, as space is available. If you have any questions or wish to register, contact Lola Smith at 486-2362.
Additional Social Enrichment Programs
Lunch Bunch
To compliment our Preschool Program, lunchtime care is provided to extend both morning and afternoon classes on several posted days per week from 11:20 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Preschoolers bring lunch and a drink and may stay following their morning session or arrive before the afternoon session for an hour of fun and friendship. Teachers will escort children to their class.
Afternoon Full Day Classes
Children in the full-day preschool class who do not take naps may go downstairs from 12:30 – 2:45 p.m. while their classmates are enjoying their nap time.
Summer Adventure
During the summer session, preschoolers may join the fun of our Summer Adventure from 9:00 a.m. to noon if space is available.
