Community Recycling

The City of Grandview Heights and Goodwill Columbus sponsor an annual donation drive and electronic waste recycling day on a Saturday at the beginning of May.  The next drive will be May 6, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Grandview Heights Service Department, 1525 Goodale Boulevard.

Please enter from Goodale Boulevard onto Glendale Avenue.  Goodwill Columbus staff will unload items from your vehicle.

Accepted items:
Computers, printers, monitors
Copiers, scanners, fax machines
Networking equipment
Ink and toner cartridges
flatscreen TV’s, cell phones, MP3 players
DVD/VHS players, cable boxes
Records/cassettes/CD’s/DVD’s
Video game systems & games
Power adapters/chargers/cords
Stereo equipment/speakers
Cameras, audiovisual equipment
Microwaves, toaster ovens, toasters
Vacuums, humidifiers, air purifiers
Christmas lights, string lights
Lithium ion (rechargeable) batteries
and all household goods and clothing.

Goodwill Columbus works with R-2 “Responsible Recycling” certified vendors to safeguard data, but donors are asked to delete all sensitive data prior to the drop off.

The last event generated 5,060 pounds of e-waste. That means 5,060 pounds of recyclable items were kept out of the landfill, saving all of us money. Goodwill Columbus works to build independence, quality of life and work opportunities for individuals with disabilities and other barriers.
