Prayer Shawl Ministry
Since Boulevard’s Prayer Shawl Ministry began in 2007, over 150 hand knit or crocheted prayer shawls or lap robes have been created and handed out to members and friends as an expression of God’s love during difficult times.
Like the name suggests, prayer is involved in creating the shawls. As each individual works on their lap robe or shawl they pray for the person who will one day receive the shawl.
Boulevard’s Prayer Shawl Ministry meets the fourth Sunday of every month (September through May), after the second service, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the church lounge. If you have a knitting or crochet project you are working on, bring it along. If not, just bring yourself and we will get you started. We supply yarn, hooks and needles, and patterns.
The 2016-2017 co-leaders are Phyllis Miller and Linda Wilton.
